Denver native Jinx Jones got his start in music early and relocated to the Bay Area in 1989. His guitar artistry landed him work with legendary artists including Chuck Berry, Roy Buchanan and Solomon Burke. Underscoring his pan-genre fluidity, he played bass on En Vogue’s 1992’s smash hit “Free Your Mind.” Back in the rock idiom, he launched the Kingtones; Jones has released five albums that draw upon rockabilly, swing and surf: License to Twang, Rumble & Twang, Rip and Run, Live Twang in Finland and Twang-Tastic! His 2021 album, Blue Gardenia, showcased Jones’ versatility via his command of jazz stylings.

CongaKing plays weekends in the Bay Area with International DJ’s at some of the hottest clubs including Alameda Islands, The Churchward Pub as well as with his band, MeritageMusic, at wineries, tasting rooms and hotels throughout Northern California’s Wine Country.
