Surf Monster is a San Francisco-based surf band that has been making waves with their unique blend of surf-rock and rumble. Hot Jazz and Retro Rock and Roll. Audiences love the catchy toe tapping good times and the unusual versions of classic rock songs.
The band consists of some of the hottest players in the North Bay Area. The core of the band is Mark Larson on guitar and vocals and Alan Parks on double bass. Rounding out the band are Joe Shotwell on drums, Carolyn Walter on sax, Daryl Burch on trombone and Graham Terry
on guitar. The band will appear in different configurations
depending on the venue.

Jinx Jones

Denver native Jinx Jones got his start in music early and relocated to the Bay Area in 1989. His guitar artistry landed him work with legendary artists including Chuck Berry, Roy Buchanan and Solomon Burke. Underscoring his pan-genre fluidity, he played bass on En Vogue’s 1992’s smash hit “Free Your Mind.” Back in the rock idiom, he launched the Kingtones; Jones has released five albums that draw upon rockabilly, swing and surf: License to Twang, Rumble & Twang, Rip and Run, Live Twang in Finland and Twang-Tastic! His 2021 album, Blue Gardenia, showcased Jones’ versatility via his command of jazz stylings.

Performing original songs from the catalog of Magic-O Records and StayFree Publishing/BMI, the record label and publishing company she founded with Stanely Lippitt, her mission is to maintain the Mighty Oakland Sound of Music and share it around the world.
She has performed, recorded and toured the world with Frank Zappa, Sly Stone, Van Morrison, John Lee Hooker and Hall of Fame legends Bobby Bland, Willie Dixon, Etta James, Curtis Mayfield, Koko Taylor, Joe Louis Walker and dozens more as a featured opening act, vocal arranger and record producer.
